Apple debuted a new Family Sharing feature during its WWDC keynote today. The feature allows family members who use the same credit card to also share a variety of other information, including iTunes purchases, photos and photo streams, location, reminders, calendars, and more. Apple had originally set a deadline of April 30 for requiring apps for iPhone and iPad be built with the iOS 13 SDK. In a new developer blog post today, however, Apple has extended that deadline and many others. Apple today expanded its App Store Volume Purchase Program (VPP) to 16 important new regions. Here are the new areas: Before today, the program, was only available in major Apple regions such as the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, France, and Germany. In a statement to Re/code, Apple has acknowledged the iMessage issue which affects customers who switch away from the iPhone, without disabling iMessage. Apple today announced a new fitness service, set to rival the likes of Peloton. Apple Fitness+ will integrate with the Apple Watch and the Fitness app on the iPhone. Fitness+ costs $9.99 per month, or $79.99 per year. Users can watch fitness classes hosted by Apple, with health workout metrics shown over the top of the video. The data can then be automatically saved to the Health app. Apple Fitness+ will include workout classes spanning many categories, including cardio and yoga....

Back in July, Apple teased that HomePod would launch in Japan sometime this summer. In a new press release, Apple details that the Siri-powered smart speaker will officially be available in Japan starting on August 23rd.
